Dr. Varughese has been a registered nurse for 24 years and has over ten years of teaching experience in nursing education through various academic settings. She is currently doing her Ph.D. in Nursing Education from Capella University. Dr. Varughese completed her Doctoral Degree in Nursing Sytems Leadership from Chamberlain University. Prof. Varughese also has a Master’s Degree in Nursing Education. Professor Had opportunities to serve as an Associate Dean of Nursing, Faculty of Nursing, and clinical instructor for BSN, ADN, and LVN students at various educational institutions in the United States. Courses taught by her as follows NCLEX training, Med-Surg, Fundamentals of Nursing, OB-GYN, and Pediatrics, and much more. As a direct patient care nurse, Prof. Varughese worked in Cath Lab, EP Lab, CCU, Telemetry units, sub-acute hospitals, rehab facilities, nursing homes, and home health during her various professional endeavors both in the United States and India. She is passionate about mentoring high-risk students for their success. As a foreign graduate herself, Prof. Varughese is versatile in mentoring foreign nurses migrating to the United States. Along with NCLEX training, she assists the foreign nurses to build critical thinking skills and cultural transformation as part of the preparation for their professional revolution to the United States.
